Well. In the last couple of days I have been doing a lot of tweaking rather than hunting out new entries for the pages. That said, there are a couple of new entries nevertheless.
I have listed the changes below & now would be a good time to download the desktop version anew as it will be a while again before I upload an updated version.

Here goes:-

1.European Safelist - This safelist is doing quite well in the Alexa ranking stakes and since it claims to be targeting the European market, it has a good fit for the UK Networking bias of the Phoenix sites.

2.WebStat.com - An excellent website statistical suite of services. Any good web hosting such as 1&1 should already come with more than adequate tracking but if you are looking to track free hosted pages or perhaps a Networking profile, the code from WebStat.com is easy to add to most pages.

3.I have tweaked table layouts and a few other ascetic elements on both the web and the desktop versions of the Directory. Really just a tidy up, clearing out blank cells etc.

4.Ablewise classifieds has been removed from the directory. This is not a reflection on performance of the service but is due to the unwelcome effect of adding the ads iframe to the web pages (in order to earn ad-views). As a containing iframe it caused the page to jump down to the frame. Not a pleasant experience for browsers who want to start at the top of a webpage! If anyone from Ablewise is reading - please note!

5.404Secrets was previously featured as an audio download direct from their own server, following a signup. I have now secured a .pdf transcript of the interview and how-to guide. The entry has therefore been moved to eBooks with direct download from our site. There are links within the ebook for those who would still like to listen to the interview original.

6.4Networking has now been removed but I would still happily recommend the service to anyone that felt an offline networking group in the UK would benefit them. As the events are essentially B2B local events, I felt that the relevance to the home business market such as ours was limited. I wish them all the very best for an excellent service, nonetheless.

7.7Search AdRoll has been added to the Phoenix Services entry page. It is worth checking this out to see the AdRoll in action. A great service, this AdRoll is a PPC add-on for your site that allows you to define your own keywords for the links presented, maintaining a much tighter control, and therefore, click-through rate, on the ads shown.

8.I have added a few great pieces of software for SEO from AceBIT Software. All of these are inclusive with a hosting deal from 1&1, which is how I came across them. They were so good, I decided to seek them out to present to you all.

9.An eProduct Marketing section has been added to the Directory. This will not be a long, and ever changing list of giveaway events but rather a section of resources for those looking to add value to existing business activities by producing complementary products. There are one or two other sites that may get in as well if they have excellent additional features. These include Profit work From Home  as they not only offer downloads but Articles, good guidance generally and a lot more.

10. I have now started to add Articles to Desktop Version of the Directory and these will be moved onto the Web version as well as soon as the architecture is in place. All part of our attempts to offer you the best.

Last but not least, I am happy to now announce that my Personal site is now live. AndrewEBarnes.me.uk actually redirects to my profile page at lookup.com. This is an excellent service for creating a personal, professional profile. So good, I decided there was no longer any need for me to design my own.

Oh. BTW. We have been collecting some awards here at Phoenix Services for some time now, so there is now a basic page now live to showcase these. There are links on all of our index pages or you can get directly there HERE.

Thanks, as ever for reading and be sure to check back again soon, or subscribe to the feed for the next batch of updates.
